DTC B2785 - Communication Malfunction between ECUs Connected by LIN

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when LIN communication from the certification ECU stops for a certain amount of time.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Delete the DTC Engine Immobilizer System.
(b) Recheck for DTC.

B -- NORMAL
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (LIN COMMUNICATION LINE AND BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the U28, K28, K73 and K58 ECU connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK OPERATION OF CERTIFICATION ECU
(a) After replacing the certification ECU with a normal one, check for DTC.

Result:





B -- REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU
A -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK OPERATION OF POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU
(a) After replacing the power source control ECU with a normal one, check for DTC.

Result:





B -- REPLACE POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU
A -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK STEERING LOCK ECU
(a) After replacing the steering control ECU with a normal one, check for DTC.

B -- REPLACE STEERING LOCK ECU
A -- REPLACE IMMOBILIZER CODE ECU
