DTC B2059 - Vehicle Speed Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The from distance control ECU uses the combination meter to send vehicle speed information to the ECM. The ECM and the ABS & traction actuator assembly use CAN communication to send vehicle speed information to the seat belt control ECU. This DTC is output when the difference between the vehicle speed information from the ECM and the ABS & traction actuator assembly is more than the specified value.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE:
When the distance control ECU is replaced with a new one, Active Test must be performed. Pre-Collision System
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
(e) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the vehicle speed meter.
Combination Meter:
OK:
Vehicle speed displayed on the Techstream is almost the same as the actual vehicle speed.
NG -- GO TO COMBINATION METER SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK DTC (MALFUNCTION IN CAN COMMUNICATION WITH ECM)
(a) Delete the DTC Pre-Collision System.
(b) Check for DTC.
Result:
C -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
B -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- END
