DTC B1271 - Combination Meter ECU Communication Stop

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is detected when communication between the combination meter (meter ECU) and network gateway ECU stops for more than 10 seconds.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK OPERATION
(a) Check that the tachometer operates properly while the engine is idling.
OK:
Tachometer operate properly while engine is idling.
NG -- CHECK (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (METER ECU) - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (METER ECU)
2. CHECK (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (METER ECU) - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the K31 meter connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard Resistance:






Standard Voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK RESISTANCE OF COMMUNICATION LINE




(a) Disconnect the K31and K66 ECU connectors.
(b) Disconnect the K44 sensor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:

C -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
B -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND WIRE HARNESS CONNECTOR
A -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (METER ECU)
