PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE PEDAL: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE PEDAL





(a) Temporarily install the parking brake pedal by loosely tightening the 3 nuts.
(b) Fully tighten the 3 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.
Torque: 13 Nm (133 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)
(c) Connect the connector.





(d) Install the instrument panel junction block assembly with the 2 nuts.
(e) 2WD:
Install the parking brake No.1 cable assembly to the body with the 3 nuts and 2 bolts.
Nut - Torque: 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)
Bolt - Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)





(f) 4WD:
Install the parking brake No.1 cable assembly to the body with the 4 nuts and 2 bolts.
Nut - Torque: 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)
Bolt - Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)









(g) Install the parking brake equalizer to the parking brake No.1 cable assembly.





(h) Slide the rubber boot back as shown in the illustration.





(i) Connect the parking brake No.2 and No.3 cable assemblies to the parking brake equalizer.
(j) Install the parking brake No.2 and No.3 cable assemblies with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)





(k) Install the parking brake return with damper spring.
2. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR REAR UPPER SUB PANEL





(a) Install the front floor rear upper sub panel with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)
(b) Engage the clamps.
3. INSTALL CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY Installation
4. INSTALL DASH PANEL INSULATOR NO.3 PAD
5. INSTALL REAR PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FSE) Installation
6. INSPECT AND ADJUST NO. 2 AND NO. 3 JOINT ANGLE (for 2GR-FSE) Installation
7. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR HEAT NO.1 INSULATOR (for 2GR-FSE) Installation
8. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FSE) Removal
9. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for 2GR-FSE) Installation
10. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR BRACE CENTER (for 2GR-FSE) Installation
11. INSTALL REAR PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for 1UR-FSE) Installation
12. FULLY TIGHTEN CENTER SUPPORT NO. 1 BEARING ASSEMBLY (for 1UR-FSE) Installation
13. INSPECT AND ADJUST NO. 2 AND NO. 3 JOINT ANGLE (for 1UR-FSE) Installation
14. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR HEAT NO. 1 INSULATOR (for 1UR-FSE) Installation
15. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 1UR-FSE) Installation
16. CONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for 1UR-FSE) Installation
17. INSTALL REAR NO. 1FLOOR PANEL BRACE (for 1UR-FSE) Installation
18. INSTALL FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE (for 1UR-FSE) Installation
19. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER RH (for 1UR-FSE)
20. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER LH (for 1UR-FSE)
21. INSTALL AIR NO.2 DUCT REAR
22. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR SILENCER PAD (for 2WD)
23. INSTALL ACCELERATOR PEDAL (for 2WD)
24. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation
25. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY NO.1 PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
26. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER NO.1 COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
27. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL Installation
28. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX Installation
29. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY Installation
30. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX PLATE Installation

39. INSTALL AIR NO.6 DUCT REAR





(a) Install the air No.6 duct rear with the 2 screws.
(b) Install the 2 plugs on the air No.6 duct rear.
40. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY Installation
41. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
HINT: Refer to the instructions for Installation of the front seat assembly Installation.

42. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

43. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL Adjustments
44. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL Adjustments
45. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
