Clearance Sonar Main Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the clearance sonar main switch is turned on, an ON signal is sent to the clearance warning ECU and the indicator on the switch comes on. The intuitive parking assist system starts operating according to this signal.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK INTUITIVE PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM
(a) Check the operation of the intuitive parking assist system Operation Check.
Result:






B -- INSPECT CLEARANCE SONAR MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY
A -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream main switch on.
(d) Turn the clearance sonar main switch on.
(e) Select the item below in the Data List, and read its value displayed on Techstream to check the clearance sonar main switch.

Clearance warning ECU:





OK:
ON (Clearance sonar main switch is pressed) appears on the tester.
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT CLEARANCE SONAR MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY




(a) Remove the clearance sonar main switch assembly.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE CLEARANCE SONAR MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE SONAR MAIN SWITCH - BATTERY)




(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - CLEARANCE SONAR MAIN SWITCH)




(a) Disconnect the M2 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
6. INSPECT CLEARANCE SONAR MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY




(a) Remove the clearance sonar main switch.
(b) Apply battery voltage and check operation of the main switch, as shown in the table below.
OK:






NG -- REPLACE CLEARANCE SONAR MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE SONAR MAIN SWITCH - BATTERY)




(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - CLEARANCE SONAR MAIN SWITCH)




(a) Disconnect the M2 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
