Installation

ENGINE IMMOBILIZER: CERTIFICATION ECU:

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)





(a) Install the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) with the 2 nuts.
(b) Connect the 2 connectors.





(c) Engage the 2 clamps and connector holder as shown in the illustration.





(d) Install the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) together with the instrument panel wire with the bolt and 2 nuts.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)
2. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation
3. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL RH Installation
4. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
5. INSTALL SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL RH Installation
6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Installation.

7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Installation.

8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH Installation
9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

10. INSPECT FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Front Passenger Side Knee Airbag Assembly
11. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT Diagnosis System

12. REGISTER ECU COMMUNICATION ID
NOTE:
When replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), perform initialization Engine Immobilizer System.

13. REGISTER KEY
NOTE:
When replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), perform initialization Engine Immobilizer System.
