1UR-FSE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: MASS AIR FLOW METER: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
HINT: When viewed from the rear of the engine assembly, Bank 1 is on the left side and Bank 2 is on the right side.

1. INSTALL MASS AIR FLOW METER (for Bank 1)

(a) Install the MAF meter with the 2 screws.
Torque: 1.0 Nm (10 kgf-cm, 9 in-lbf)
- If the screw is tightened excessively, the screw hole may be damaged.
- Make sure the O-ring is not pinched.

2. INSTALL MASS AIR FLOW METER (for Bank 2)

(a) Install the air cleaner cap to the air cleaner hose assembly with the hose clamp.
Torque: 3.8 Nm (38 kgf-cm, 34 in-lbf)
NOTE: Insert the protrusion of the air cleaner hose into the hole of the hose clamp.
HINT: The hose clamp can be tightened within the range of 2.0 N*m (20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf) to 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf).

(b) Install the air cleaner cap to the air cleaner case with the 2 clips.
(c) Connect the MAF meter connector.
5. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
7. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Installation

8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
