A760E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH:

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the park/neutral position switch to the automatic transmission.
(b) Temporarily install the bolt.

(d) Temporarily install the control shaft lever.

(e) Turn the control shaft lever counterclockwise until it stops, and turn it clockwise 2 notches to set it to the N position.
(f) Remove the transmission control shaft lever.

(g) Align the neutral alignment mark line with the switch groove, and tighten the adjusting bolt.
Torque: 13 Nm (133 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

(h) Using a screwdriver, bend the tabs of the lock washer.

(i) Install the transmission control shaft lever RH with the nut.
Torque: 16 Nm (163 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf)

(j) Connect the park/neutral position switch connector.

4. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION Shift Lever Assembly

5. ADJUST PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY Adjustments

6. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY On-Vehicle Inspection
