Headlamp Alignment Sensor: Testing and Inspection

LIGHTING: HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR:

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect 3 dry cell batteries (1.5 V) in series.
(b) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal 3.
(c) Measure the voltage between terminals 2 and 1 while slowly moving the link up and down.
Standard voltage:





If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.
(d) Remove the height control sensor.
2. INSPECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect 3 dry cell batteries (1.5 V) in series.
(b) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal 3.
(c) Measure the voltage between terminals 2 and 1 while slowly moving the link up and down.
Standard voltage:





If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.
