VSC Warning Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via CAN and multiplex communications.
If the ECU stores DTC, the master caution indicator light will come on and the DTC will be displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE: When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration Vehicle Stability Control System (W/O VDIM).

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
(a) Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output Diagnosis System.

B -- INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
(a) Check if the multiplex communication system DTC is output Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

A -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK VSC WARNING LIGHT
(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Start the engine.
(c) Select the "VSC Warning Lamp" in the Active Test and operate the VSC warning (multi-information display and master caution indicator light) light by Techstream.

ABS / VSC / TRAC:





(d) Check that the VSC warning (multi-information display and master caution indicator light) light turns on or off when using Techstream.
OK:
The VSC warning (multi-information display and master caution indicator light) light turns on or off in accordance with Techstream.
HINT: If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part Problem Symptoms Table.

OK -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
NG -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Perform Active Test of the combination meter (meter CPU) using Techstream Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.
OK:
The VSC warning (multi-information display and master caution indicator light) light turns on or off in accordance with Techstream.
HINT: If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step Problem Symptoms Table.

NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
