Installation

BRAKE BOOSTER:

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS
(a) Temporarily install the push rod clevis with the lock nut.
(b) Adjust and fully tighten the push rod clevis with the lock nut Adjustments.
2. INSTALL BRAKE VACUUM CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the grommet and check valve assembly.
3. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET
(a) Install a new brake booster gasket to the brake booster assembly.
4. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY






(a) Install the brake booster assembly with the 4 nuts.
Torque: 12.7 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)
NOTE: Do not damage the brake lines.





(b) Connect the vacuum hose with the clip.
5. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS






(a) Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the clevis pin.
(b) Install the push rod clevis to the brake pedal support assembly with the clevis pin and a new clip.
6. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING
(a) Install the brake pedal return spring.
7. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

8. CONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR HOSE (for Manual Transmission) Installation

9. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET Installation

10. INSTALL NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK Installation

11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
12. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID Service and Repair

13. BLEED MASTER CYLINDER Service and Repair

14. BLEED BRAKE LINE Service and Repair

15. BLEED BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Service and Repair

16. BLEED AIR FROM CLUTCH LINE (for Manual Transmission)

17. INSPECT FLUID LEVEL IN THE RESERVOIR Service and Repair

18. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK
19. INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT Adjustments

20. INSPECT PEDAL FREEPLAY Adjustments

21. INSPECT PEDAL RESERVE DISTANCE Adjustments

22. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
23. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation

24. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

25. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

26. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH Installation

27. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH Installation

28. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (w/o Illumination) Installation

29. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (w/ Illumination) Installation

30. INSPECT BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Testing and Inspection

31. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
32. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

33. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Installation

34. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Installation

35. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP Installation

36. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING RH
37. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING LH
38. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR RH Installation

39. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH Installation

40. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Installation

41. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation

42. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

43. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

44. INSPECT VSC SENSOR SIGNAL
(a) Inspect the VSC sensor signal.
