Installation

BRAKE CONTROL: BRAKE ACTUATOR:

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR BOLT CUSHION






(a) Install the 2 brake actuator bolt cushions and 2 bolts to the brake actuator assembly.
2. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY






(a) Install the brake actuator bolt cushion with the actuator bracket assembly.
(b) Install the brake actuator to the actuator bracket assembly with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
3. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET






(a) Install the actuator assembly with bracket to the body with the 2 bolts and nut.
Torque: 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)
NOTE: Do not to damage the brake tubes.





(b) Using SST, connect the No. 3 front brake tube to the flexible hose.
SST: 09023-00101
Torque: 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)
(c) Install the grommet to the body.
NOTE: Make sure that the grommet is installed correctly.





(d) Temporarily tighten each brake tube to the correct positions of the brake actuator assembly with bracket as shown in the illustration.
- *1: To Front Wheel Cylinder RH
- *2: To Front Wheel Cylinder LH
- *3: To Rear Wheel Cylinder RH
- *4: To Rear Wheel Cylinder LH
- *5: From Front Master Cylinder
- *6: From Rear Master Cylinder





(e) Using SST, fully tighten each brake tube.
SST: 09023-00101
Torque: 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)
(f) Connect the actuator connector.
NOTE: Make sure that the connector is locked securely.

4. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

5. INSTALL NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK Installation

6. ADD RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID Service and Repair

7. BLEED BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY Service and Repair

8. BLEED BRAKE LINE Service and Repair

9. BLEED BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Service and Repair

10. INSPECT DTC Vehicle Stability Control System (w/ VDIM).

11. INSPECT FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR Service and Repair

12. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE
13. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
14. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

15. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Installation

16. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Installation

17. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP Installation

18. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH Installation

19. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR RH
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and the LH side.

20. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Installation

21. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation

22. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

23. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION Vehicle Stability Control System (W/ VDIM)

24. INSPECT SENSOR SIGNAL Test Mode Procedure

25. INSPECT ACTUATOR WITH TECHSTREAM Testing and Inspection
