Wiper and Washer Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit provides power to operate the windshield wiper switch. The manual operation signals are sent to the cowl side junction block ECU LH.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT:
Before the procedure, check that the Multiplex Communication System (MPX) DTCs are not output Multiplex Communication System.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
(c) Select the items below in the Data List, and read the displays on the Techstream.

Combination switch (Windshield wiper switch):





OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.
NG -- CHECK WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (COMBINATION SWITCH ECU)
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. CHECK WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (COMBINATION SWITCH ECU)





(a) Disconnect the K22 windshield wiper switch connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)
OK -- REPLACE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (COMBINATION SWITCH ECU)
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)





(a) Disconnect the K22 windshield wiper switch connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE SWITCH CIRCUIT OR BATTERY CIRCUIT)
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
