Installation
POWER STEERING: POWER STEERING ECU: INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL POWER STEERING ECU
(a) Connect the power steering ECU connector on the right side of the vehicle and securely lock the lock lever as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
Be sure to securely engage the claw of the connector.
(b) Push in the lock and securely lock the lever of the connector.
(c) Connect the power steering ECU connector on the left side of the vehicle and securely lock the lock lever as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
Be sure to securely engage the claw of the connector.
(d) Push in the lock and securely lock the lever of the connector.
(e) Install the power steering ECU to the battery tray with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)
(f) Connect the ground cable terminal to the power steering ECU with the bolt.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)
NOTICE:
Be sure to position the ground cable terminal under the claw of the power steering ECU.
2. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY SUPPORT NO. 1
3. INSTALL BATTERY
(a) Install the battery.
(b) Install the battery insulator.
(c) Install the battery clamp with the nut.
Torque: 2.9 Nm (30 kgf-cm, 26 in-lbf)
(d) Connect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.
Torque: 5.6 Nm (57 kgf-cm, 50 in-lbf)
(e) Connect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Torque: 5.6 Nm (57 kgf-cm, 50 in-lbf)
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
4. INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR VALUE AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT
