Headlamp Alignment Sensor: Testing and Inspection









LIGHTING: HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR: INSPECTION





1. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY FRONT
(a) Connect the 3 dry cell batteries (1.5 V) in series.
(b) Remove the height control sensor.
(c) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal 3.
(d) Measure the voltage between terminals 2 and 1 while slowly moving the link up and down.
Standard voltage:





If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.






2. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY REAR
(a) Connect the 3 dry cell batteries (1.5 V) in series.
(b) Remove the height control sensor.
(c) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal 3.
(d) Measure the voltage between terminals 2 and 1 while slowly moving the link up and down.
Standard voltage:





If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.
