AIR CONDITIONING: HEATER GLOW PLUG (for 2GR-FSE): REMOVAL

AIR CONDITIONING: HEATER GLOW PLUG

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER Removal

3. REMOVE ENGINE REAR COVER
4. DISCONNECT HEATER BLOWER WIRE






(a) Remove the 2 grommets.






(b) Remove the 2 nuts while using your hands to make sure the terminal directions (angles) of the 2 wires do not change.
(c) Remove the 2 plate washers and disconnect the 2 wires.
HINT:
Before removing the 2 plate washers and disconnecting the 2 wires, check the terminal directions (angles) of the 2 wires so that they can be reinstalled in the same direction.

(d) Remove the 2 wave washers.
5. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS GLOW PLUG






(a) Remove the glow plug.
HINT:
Collect the engine coolant in a container.
