Pre-Collision System









PRE-COLLISION: PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM: Power Source Circuit

Power Source Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit supplies power to the seat belt control ECU.
HINT:
There may be a malfunction in the power source circuit if either: 1) neither DTCs nor "normal system" codes are output but the pre-collision system is not functioning normally; or 2) DTCs are not output and a "normal system" code is output, but the pre-collision system is not functioning normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Active Test must be performed. Pre-Collision System

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)





(a) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery.
(b) Disconnect the connectors from the seat belt control ECU.
(c) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery.
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR ((BATTERY-SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU), CHARGING SYSTEM AND BATTERY)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GROUND CIRCUIT)





(a) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
