C1515
POWER STEERING: ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING SYSTEM: C1515: Torque Sensor Zero Point Adjustment Undone
DTC C1515 - Torque Sensor Zero Point Adjustment Undone
DTC C1525 - Rotation Angle Sensor Initialization Undone
DESCRIPTION
These DTCs do not indicate a malfunction. The power steering ECU assembly outputs these DTCs when it determines that rotation angle sensor initialization and torque sensor zero point calibration have not been performed.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
2. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Check for DTCs.
Result:
HINT:
Replace the power steering ECU assembly if DTCs are still output after performing rotation angle sensor initialization and steering zero point calibration 3 times.
C -- END
B -- INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT
A -- Continue to next step.
3. REPLACE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT
(a) Initialize the rotation angle sensor and calibrate the torque sensor zero point Electronic Power Steering System.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
5. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Check for DTCs.
Result:
HINT:
Replace the power steering link assembly if DTCs are still output after performing rotation angle sensor initialization and steering zero point calibration 3 times.
NOTICE:
- If replacing the power steering link assembly, clear the rotation angle sensor calibration value, initialize the rotation angle sensor, and calibrate the torque sensor zero point Electronic Power Steering System.
- If replacing the power steering link assembly, perform VGRS actuator angle initialization and VGRS actuator angle neutral calibration after wheel alignment adjustment Programming and Relearning for INITIALIZATION, Variable Gear Ratio Steering System for CALIBRATION).
C -- END
B -- INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT
A -- REPLACE POWER STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY
