A760H AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE (SL1)






(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






(b) Connect the positive (+) lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector, then check the movement of the valve.
OK:
The solenoid makes an operating noise.
2. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE (S1)






(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






(b) Connect the positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid connector, and the negative (-) lead to the solenoid body.
OK:
The solenoid makes an operating noise.
3. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE (S2)






(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






(b) Connect the positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid connector, and the negative (-) lead to the solenoid body.
OK:
The solenoid makes an operating noise.
4. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE (S3)






(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






(b) Connect the positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid connector, and the negative (-) lead to the solenoid body.
OK:
The solenoid makes an operating noise.
5. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE (S4)






(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






(b) Connect the positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid connector, and the negative (-) lead to the solenoid body.
OK:
The solenoid makes an operating noise.
6. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE (SL2)






(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below:
Standard resistance:






(b) Connect the positive (+) lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector, then check the movement of the valve.
OK:
The solenoid makes an operating noise.
7. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE (SR)






(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






(b) Connect the positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid connector, and the negative (-) lead to the solenoid body.
OK:
The solenoid makes an operating noise.
8. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE (SLT)






(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below:
Standard resistance:






(b) Connect the positive (+) lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector, then check the movement of the valve.
OK:
The solenoid makes an operating noise.
9. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE (SLU)






(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below:
Standard resistance:






(b) Connect the positive (+) lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector, then check the movement of the valve.
OK:
The solenoid makes an operating noise.
