Rear No. 2 Suspension Arm

REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM

COMPONENTS:

REMOVAL

HINT:
^ Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
^ The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE WHEEL HUB ORNAMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 10 bolts and ornament.
2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
(a) Remove the 5 nuts and wheel.





3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the bolt and nut, and disconnect the stabilizer link and the height control link from the rear No. 2 suspension arm.





(b) Remove the bolt and nut, and disconnect the shock absorber from the rear No. 2 suspension arm.





(c) Place matchmarks on the adjusting cam and rear No. 2 suspension arm.
(d) Remove the nut, camber adjusting cam No. 2 and camber adjusting cam No. 1. Then disconnect the rear No. 2 suspension arm from the axle carrier.





(e) Remove the bolt, nut, washer and rear No. 2 suspension arm.

INSTALLATION

HINT:
^ Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
^ The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
^ A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.





1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Temporarily install the rear No. 2 suspension arm to the suspension member with the bolt, washer and nut.

HINT: After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.

(b) Install the nut, No. 2 camber adjusting cam and No. 1 camber adjusting cam.
(c) Align the matchmarks on the adjusting cam and rear No. 2 suspension arm.

HINT: After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.

(d) Connect the shock absorber to the rear No. 2 suspension arm with the bolt and nut.

HINT: After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.

(e) Connect the stabilizer link and the height control sensor link to the rear suspension arm No. 2 LH with the bolt and nut.
2. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
(a) Install the wheel with the 5 nuts.
Torque: 103 N*m (1,050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
3. STABILIZE SUSPENSION
4. TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Tighten the bolt and nut to the suspension member.
Torque: 110 N*m (1,120 kgf*cm, 81 ft.*lbf)
(b) Fix the nut and tighten the bolt to the shock absorber.
Torque: 110 N*m (1,120 kgf*cm, 81 ft.*lbf)

NOTICE: Do not tighten the nut.

(c) Tighten the bolt to the stabilizer link.
Torque: 30 N*m (306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf)
5. INSTALL WHEEL HUB ORNAMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the ornament with the 10 bolts.
Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
6. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
(a) Inspect and adjust the rear wheel alignment.
