Front Suspension No. 2 Lower Arm
FRONT SUSPENSION NO. 2 LOWER ARMCOMPONENTS:
REMOVAL
HINT:
^ Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
^ The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
^ A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
1. REMOVE WHEEL HUB ORNAMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 10 bolts and ornament.
2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
(a) Remove the 5 nuts and wheel.
3. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER
4. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION NO. 2 LOWER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the front suspension member brace rear.
(b) Remove the 4 bolts and front suspension member brace.
(c) Remove the bolt.
(d) Remove the 2 bolts, nut, front suspension No. 2 lower arm and strut bar bracket.
INSTALLATION
HINT:
^ Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
^ The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
^ A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
1. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION NO. 2 LOWER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Install the front suspension No. 2 lower arm and strut bar bracket with the 2 bolts and nut.
Torque:
164 N*m (1,672 kgf*cm, 121 ft.*lbf) for bolt
152 N*m (1,550 kgf*cm, 112 ft.*lbf) for nut
(b) Install the bolt.
Torque: 58 N*m (590 kgf*cm, 43 ft.*lbf)
(c) Install the front suspension member brace with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 56 N*m (570 kgf*cm, 41 ft.*lbf)
(d) Connect the front suspension member brace rear with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 58 N*m (590 kgf*cm, 43 ft.*lbf)
2. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
(a) Install the wheel with the 5 nuts.
Torque: 103 N*m (1,050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
3. STABILIZE SUSPENSION
4. INSTALL WHEEL HUB ORNAMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the wheel with the 5 nuts.
Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
5. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
(a) Inspect and adjust the front wheel alignment.
