Removal and Replacement

Combination Meter:




COMBINATION METER

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 clips and remove the panel.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Disconnect the connector.

3. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER LOWER
4. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER UPPER
5. REMOVE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY




a. Remove the 4 screws.
b. Disconnect the connectors and remove the combination meter.

INSTALLATION




1. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
2. INSTALL TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
3. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER UPPER
4. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER LOWER
5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Connect the connector.
b. Attach the 4 clips to install the panel.

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

a. Perform initialization.

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

8. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

a. Check the SRS warning light.
