Removal and Replacement

RADIATOR

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
4. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET
5. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE V-BANK COVER
7. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE
8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY





9. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE
(a) Disconnect the radiator hose.





10. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE
(a) Disconnect the radiator hose.





11. DISCONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE
(a) Disconnect the inlet tube from the radiator.





12. DISCONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE
(a) Disconnect the outlet tube from the radiator.

13. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the outlet duct.
(b) Disconnect the cooling fan ECU connector.





(c) Remove the 2 nuts and 2 radiator support brackets.
(d) Remove the radiator.
(e) Remove the 2 grommets.

14. REMOVE FAN SHROUD SUB-ASSEMBLY

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL FAN SHROUD SUB-ASSEMBLY
2. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the 2 grommets to the radiator.





(b) Install the 2 radiator support brackets with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 13.5 N*m (138 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf)
(c) Connect the cooling fan ECU connector.





(d) Install the outlet duct.





3. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE
(a) Connect the outlet tube.





4. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE
(a) Connect the inlet tube.





5. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE
(a) Connect the radiator hose.





6. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE
(a) Connect the radiator hose.

7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
8. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE
9. INSTALL V-BANK COVER
10. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY
11. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET
12. ADD ENGINE COOLANT
13. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS
14. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
16. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization.

NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
