INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE:

For vehicles previously equipped with Lexus Accessory Dual Mode phones, make sure ALL phone components have been COMPLETELY removed from the vehicle.

NOTE
Not removing the phone components can prohibit the initialization procedure.

1. Insert the key in the ignition switch and turn it to the ACC position. Within 30 seconds, perform steps 2 and 3.

2. Press and hold the audio MODE switch for more than 10 seconds.

3. After releasing the MODE switch, press the channel up switch 3 times and then the channel down switch 3 times within 5 seconds.

NOTE
Make sure you are pressing the channel buttons and NOT the volume buttons.

4. Turn the ignition switch to ON then to the OFF position.
5. Confirm proper operation of the steering wheel controls.
If the initialization procedure above does NOT restore audio operation, refer to the applicable model and model year Repair Manual, DTC B1285, "Steering Pad Switch Communication", for supporting information on the circuit.

NOTE:
Issue of this Technical Service Bulletin is to ensure that proper repair information is available. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AN AUTHORIZATION FOR REPAIR. Normal provisions of the formal warranty policy, as applicable, will apply.
