RADIO RECEIVER
REMOVAL
1. SET RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY TO SHIPMENT MODE
a. Take out all CDs.
NOTE: If CD(s) cannot be taken out, do not attempt to take it out forcibly. Send the unit to a repair shop.
b. While simultaneously pressing the "SEEK UP" and "DISK" switches, turn the ignition switch to ACC.
HINT:
- The CD indicator light blinks during mode setting and it remains lit after the setting is completed.
- When the mode setting is completed, "SHIPMENT" appears on the display.
c. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
3. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH
4. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER CENTER
a. Remove the 4 bolts and panel.
b. Disconnect the connector.
7. CONFIRM RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY SHIPMENT MODE SETTING
a. Look at the backside of the radio receiver and check that red sections can be seen through the holes near the "SHIP" marks.
NOTE: If red sections cannot be seen, perform the shipment mode setting again.
8. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 screws and 3 panel retainers.
b. Remove the 4 bolts.
c. Press the 2 claws shown in the illustration to detach them and remove the panel.
NOTE: Do not forcibly press the claw as it may break.
d. Remove the 2 screws and No.1 bracket.
e. Remove the 2 screws and No.2 bracket.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
a. Install the No.1 bracket with the 2 screws.
b. Install the No.2 bracket with the 2 screws.
c. Attach the 2 claws to install the panel.
d. Install the 4 bolts.
e. Install the 3 panel retainers with the 4 screws.
2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER CENTER
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the panel with the 4 bolts.
NOTE:
- If the connector is connected with the battery connected, the system will start initialization.
- Vibration during initialization may cause problems in the radio receiver.
3. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization. Testing and Inspection
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
8. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
