Amplifier: Service and Repair

Stereo Component Amplifier:

STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH
5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH
6. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE TOOL BOX COVER
8. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY REAR
9. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY
10. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER INNER LOWER
11. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT
12. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY BRACKET FRONT

13. REMOVE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
a. w/o Mark Levinson Sound System:
1. Remove the 2 bolts and nut.
2. Disconnect the 2 connectors, then remove the amplifier.

b. w/ Mark Levinson Sound System:
1. Remove the 2 bolts and nut.
2. Disconnect the 2 connectors, then remove the amplifier.

14. REMOVE NO.1 AMPLIFIER BRACKET
a. Remove the 2 screws and bracket.

15. REMOVE NO.2 AMPLIFIER BRACKET
a. Remove the 2 screws and bracket.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO.2 AMPLIFIER BRACKET
a. Install the bracket with the 2 screws.

2. INSTALL NO.1 AMPLIFIER BRACKET
a. Install the bracket with the 2 screws.

3. INSTALL STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
a. w/ Mark Levinson Sound System:
1. Connect the 2 connectors.
2. Install the amplifier with the 2 bolts and nut.

b. w/o Mark Levinson Sound System:
1. Connect the 2 connectors.
2. Install the amplifier with the 2 bolts and nut.

4. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY BRACKET FRONT
5. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT
6. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER INNER LOWER
7. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY
8. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY REAR
9. INSTALL TOOL BOX COVER
10. INSTALL SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSEMBLY
11. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH
12. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH
13. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
14. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

16. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization. Testing and Inspection

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
