Off-Vehicle Inspection
INSPECTION1. INSPECT REAR CURTAIN SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
a. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear curtain LH.
HINT: To prevent the motor from burning out, stop operation as soon as the rear curtain is fully raised or lowered.
CAUTION: Be careful when the rear curtain raises and lowers. Something could get caught in the rear curtain and cause an injury.
2. INSPECT REAR CURTAIN SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
a. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear curtain RH.
HINT: To prevent the motor from burning out, stop operation as soon as the rear curtain is fully raised or lowered.
CAUTION: Be careful when the rear curtain raises and lowers. Something could get caught in the rear curtain and cause an injury.
3. INSPECT CURTAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the curtain switch assembly.
b. Measure the voltage between the terminals when the switch is operated.
HINT: As the circuit has a diode, perform the measurement with the tester in diode mode.
If the result is not as specified, replace the curtain switch.
4. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the integration control and panel assembly.
b. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.
If the result is not as specified, replace the integration control and panel.
