REMOVAL
1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER PROTECTOR RH
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

3. DRAIN DIFFERENTIAL OIL
4. REMOVE PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the rear drive shaft assembly.
5. REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the rear drive shaft assembly.
6. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY
(a) Support the rear differential carrier assembly with a transmission jack.

CAUTION:
^ As the rear differential carrier assembly is very heavy, securely support it with the transmission jack.
^ Perform this procedure with several people supporting the rear differential carrier assembly so that it does not tilt or fall.

(b) Using SST or a 12 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 3 bolts (A) from the rear No. 1 and No. 2 differential mount cushions.
(c) Remove the 2 bolts (B).
(d) Slowly lower the transmission jack. Then remove the rear differential mount stopper upper and lower, and rear differential carrier assembly from the rear suspension member.

NOTICE:
^ Do not drop the rear differential carrier assembly.
^ When removing the rear differential carrier assembly, do not damage the installation surface.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY
(a) Place the rear differential carrier assembly on a transmission jack.

CAUTION:
^ As the rear differential carrier assembly is very heavy, securely support it with the transmission jack.
^ Perform this procedure with several people supporting the rear differential carrier assembly so that it does not tilt or fall.

(b) Slowly raise the transmission jack so that the rear differential carrier is at its installation position.

NOTICE: When installing the rear differential carrier assembly, do not damage the installation surface.

(c) Temporarily install the mount stopper upper and lower with 2 new bolts (B).
(d) Temporarily install 2 new bolts (A).
(e) Temporarily install a new bolt (C).
(f) Using SST and a 12 mm socket hexagon wrench, tighten the 2 bolts (A).
SST 09249-63010
Torque:
without SST 142 N*m (1450 kgf*cm, 105 ft.*lbf)
with SST 103 N*m (1054 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)

NOTICE:
^ Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 400 mm (16 in.).
^ Tighten the bolts so that they do not interfere with the bolt holes of the mount cushions.

(g) Using SST and a 12 mm socket hexagon wrench, tighten the bolt (C).
SST 09249-63010
Torque:
without SST 142 N*m (1450 kgf*cm, 105 ft.*lbf)
with SST 103 N*m (1054 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)

NOTICE:
^ Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 400 mm (16 in.)
^ Tighten the bolts so that they do not interfere with the bolt holes of the mount cushions.

(h) Tighten the 2 bolts (B).
Torque: 127 N*m (1300 kgf*cm, 94 ft.*lbf)

NOTICE: Make sure that the mount stop upper and lower are not shifted or tilted.

2. INSTALL REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Install the rear drive shaft assembly.
3. INSTALL PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the rear propeller with center bearing shaft assembly.
4. ADD DIFFERENTIAL OIL
(a) Add differential oil.
5. CHECK DIFFERENTIAL OIL
(a) Check differential oil.
6. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
(a) Install the rear wheel.
Torque: 140 N*m (1428 kgf*cm, 103 ft.*lbf)
7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
8. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER PROTECTOR RH
9. CHECK SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM (for Air Suspension)
(a) Check the suspension control system.
10. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
(a) Inspect and adjust rear wheel alignment.
11. CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
(a) Check speed sensor signal.
12. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization.

NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
