Height Control Sensor (For Rear LH)

REMOVAL

CAUTION: Be sure to read the "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing.

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed are for the LH side.

1. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

3. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY REAR LH
a. Disconnect the connector.




b. Place matchmarks on the height control sensor link and bracket.
c. Remove the nut and disconnect the height control sensor link from the bracket.




d. Remove the 2 bolts and height control sensor from the rear suspension member.

NOTE: Do not drop the height control sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.

4. REMOVE LOAD SENSING VALVE SENSOR BRACKET
a. Remove the bolt and bracket from the lower arm.

INSTALLATION

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed are for the LH side.

1. INSTALL LOAD SENSING VALVE SENSOR BRACKET
a. Install the bracket to the lower arm with the bolt.

2. INSTALL HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUBASSEMBLY REAR LH




a. Install the height control sensor with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 13.5 N.m (138 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Do not drop the height control sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.




b. Align the matchmarks on the height control sensor link and bracket.
c. Install the nut to the height control sensor link.

Torque: 3.6 to 6.9 N.m (37 to 70 kgf.cm, 32 to 61 in.lbf)

d. Connect the connector.

3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
4. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
5. CHECK VEHICLE HEIGHT

NOTE: If the height control sensor link is removed, check the vehicle height.

a. Change the height control switch from the "NORM" position to the "HIGH" position and back to the "NORM" position again.
b. Measure the vehicle height.

6. ADJUST VEHICLE HEIGHT

NOTE: If the height control sensor has been replaced, be sure to adjust the vehicle height.

a. Adjust the vehicle height.

7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal

8. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
a. Check the SRS warning light.
