Height Control Sensor (For Front LH)

REMOVAL

CAUTION: Be sure to read the "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing.

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

4. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUBASSEMBLY FRONT LH




a. Disconnect the connector.




b. Remove the bolt and disconnect the height control sensor link from the lower arm.




c. Remove the 2 bolts and detach the 2 clips.
d. Remove the height control sensor.

NOTE: Do not drop the height control sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.

INSTALLATION

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed are the LH side.

1. INSTALL HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY FRONT LH




a. Install the height control sensor with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 13.5 N.m (138 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Do not drop the height control sensor.If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.




b. Connect the height control sensor link to the lower arm with the bolt.

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)




c. Connect the connector and attach the 2 clips.

2. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque: 140 N.m (1428 kgf.cm, 103 ft.lbf)

3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
4. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
5. CHECK VEHICLE HEIGHT

NOTE: If the height control sensor link is removed, check the vehicle height.

a. Change the height control switch from the "NORM" position to the "HIGH" position and back to the "NORM" position again.
b. Measure the vehicle height.

6. ADJUST VEHICLE HEIGHT

NOTE: If the height control sensor has been replaced, be sure to adjust the vehicle height.

a. Adjust the vehicle height.

7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

8. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
a. Check the SRS warning light.
