REMOVAL
1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
3. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH
6. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
7. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH
8. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR
9. REMOVE NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR
10. REMOVE NO. 6 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR
11. REMOVE NO. 5 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR
12. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH
13. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH
14. REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE LH LINER
15. REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE RH LINER

16. REMOVE FLOOR NO. 1 UNDER COVER
17. REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR LH

19. DISCONNECT NO. 1 ACTUATOR HARNESS CLAMP
(a) Disconnect the 2 clamps and connector.
20. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE
(a) Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the cable from the vehicle side.
21. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR BRACE CENTER
22. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Sensor 2)
23. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
24. REMOVE TAILPIPE LH
25. REMOVE TAILPIPE RH
26. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR
27. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR
28. REMOVE PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY
29. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH
30. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
31. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the nut and disconnect the stabilizer link from the stabilizer bar.
(b) Remove the bolt, nut and stabilizer link from the rear No. 2 suspension arm.
32. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

33. DISCONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH (for Coil suspension)
34. DISCONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY RH (for Coil suspension)

35. DISCONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH (for Air suspension)
36. DISCONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY RH (for Air suspension)
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
37. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Support the crossmember with the jack.
(b) for Sports package
(1) Remove the 4 bolts labeled A.
(2) Remove the 4 bolts labeled B and 2 suspension member stoppers.
(3) Slowly lower the jack, and disconnect the suspension member from the vehicle.
(c) for Standard
(1) Remove the 4 bolts.
(2) Slowly lower the jack, and disconnect the suspension member from the vehicle.
38. REMOVE STABILIZER BAR REAR
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and stabilizer bar from the suspension member.
HINT: The stabilizer bracket and bush are built onto the stabilizer bar. If the bracket and/or bush detach from the bar, replace the bar.
INSPECTION
1. INSPECT REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Temporarily install the nut, and flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times as shown in the illustration.
(b) Use a torque wrench to turn the nut continuously at a rate of 3 to 5 seconds per turn. Take the torque reading on the fifth turn.
Standard turning torque: 1.96 N*m (20 kgf*cm, 17 in.*lbf) or less
If the value is not within the specified range, replace the rear suspension toe control link with a new one
(c) Check the dust boot for cracks or grease leakage.
INSTALLATION
HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
1. INSTALL STABILIZER BAR REAR
(a) Make sure the bracket's arrows face the front of the vehicle.
(b) First temporarily install bolt 1. Then install bolts 2, 3 and 4. Then tighten bolt 5.
Torque: 48 N*m (489 kgf*cm, 35 ft.*lbf)
2. INSTALL REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Install the stabilizer link with the 2 nuts and bolt.
Torque:
89 N*m (908 kgf*cm, 66 ft.*lbf) for stabilizer bar side
26 N*m (265 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf) for No. 2 suspension arm side
3. INSTALL REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
4. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Slowly raise the suspension member jack, and install the suspension member to the body.
(b) for Sports package
(1) Install the 2 member stoppers with the 4 bolts labeled B, and install the 4 bolts labeled A.
Torque:
19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf) for bolt labeled A
127 N*m (1295 kgf*cm, 94 ft.*lbf) for bolt labeled B
(c) for Standard
(1) Install the 4 bolts labeled B.
Torque: 127 N*m (1295 kgf*cm, 94 ft.*lbf)
5. CONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH (for Air suspension)
6. CONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY RH (for Air suspension)

7. CONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH (for Coil suspension)
8. CONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY RH (for Coil suspension)

9. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH

11. INSTALL PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY
12. INSPECT AND ADJUST NO. 2 AND NO. 3 JOINT ANGLE
13. INSTALL PROPELLER SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR
14. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR
15. INSTALL TAILPIPE RH
16. INSTALL TAILPIPE LH
17. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
18. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR BRACE CENTER
19. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Sensor 2)
20. INSPECT FOR GAS LEAK
21. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE
(a) Install the cable with the 2 nuts to the vehicle side.
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
22. CONNECT NO. 1 ACTUATOR HARNESS CLAMP
(a) Connect the 2 clamps and connector.
23. INSTALL REAR SPEED SENSOR LH
24. INSTALL REAR SPEED SENSOR RH

25. INSTALL REAR WHEEL HOUSE LH LINER
(a) Install the liner with the 3 screws, 11 nuts, 2 clips to the vehicle side.

39. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
40. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
41. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization.
NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
42. CHECK SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM (for Air suspension)
(a) Check the suspension control system.
43. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
(a) Inspect and adjust the rear wheel alignment.
44. CHECK SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
(a) Check the speed sensor signal.
45. VEHICLE PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT
