Heated Steering Wheel Controller

HEATED STEERING WHEEL CONTROLLER

COMPONENTS:





REMOVAL
1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

3. REMOVE SWITCH AND VOLUME CASE
4. REMOVE NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER
5. REMOVE STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY





6. REMOVE HEATED STEERING WHEEL CONTROLLER
(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the 2 screws and controller.

INSTALLATION





1. INSTALL HEATED STEERING WHEEL CONTROLLER
(a) Install the controller with the 2 screws and connect the 2 connectors.
2. INSTALL STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY
3. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER
4. INSTALL SWITCH AND VOLUME CASE
5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
6. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization.

NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
