Battery Current Sensor: Service and Repair
Battery Current Sensor:
BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH
4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER PROTECTOR UPPER RH
5. REMOVE BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR
a. Disconnect the connector from the battery current sensor assembly.
b. Remove the bolt, ground terminal and battery current sensor assembly.
c. Remove the battery current sensor assembly from the ground terminal.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR
a. Insert the hook of the ground terminal through the battery current sensor's hole. Then attach the hook to the parts labeled A of the bracket.
b. Hook the bracket onto the hole on the engine room body, and install the battery current sensor assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf)
c. Connect the connector to the battery current sensor assembly.
2. INSTALL FRONT FENDER PROTECTOR UPPER RH
3. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH
4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
5. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
