Ambient Light Sensor: Testing and Inspection

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION




1. INSPECT AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR
a. Disconnect the M2 sensor connector.
b. Connect the voltmeter's positive (+) lead to terminal M2-6 and the negative (-) lead to terminal M2-3.




c. Measure the voltage of the connector.
d. Measure the resistance of the connector.




e. Reconnect the M2 sensor connector.







f. Check the waveform of the M2 sensor connector.

HINT: If the ambient light becomes brighter, width A becomes narrower.

If the result is not as specified, replace the automatic light control sensor.
