SRS Seat Cushion Airbag Assembly
SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLYON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1. CHECK SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)
a. Perform a diagnostic system check.
b. With the SRS seat cushion airbag installed on the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the rear seat cushion with a new one:
Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on front seatback around the SRS seat cushion airbag.
2. CHECK SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)
a. Perform a diagnostic system check.
b. With the SRS seat cushion airbag removed from vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the SRS seat cushion airbag with a new one:
- Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration the SRS seat cushion airbag.
- Cracks or other damage to the wire harness connector.
NOTE: For removal and installation procedures of the SRS seat cushion airbag, be sure to follow the correct procedure.
