Tire Pressure Monitor Receiver / Transponder: Service and Repair

TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RECEIVER (w/ Antenna)

COMPONENTS:





REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the roof headlining for standard body.
(b) Remove the roof headlining for long body.





3. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Antenna)
(a) Disconnect the receiver connector.
(b) Remove the nut and receiver.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Antenna)
(a) Install the receiver with the nut.
Torque: 7.5 N*m (77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf)
(b) Connect the receiver connector.
2. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the roof headlining for standard body.
(b) Install the roof headlining for long body.
3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
4. INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM
(a) Inspect the tire pressure warning system.
