Rear Seat Entertainment ECU:

REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT ECU

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE ROPE HOOK
5. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH
6. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
7. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 1 LIGHT ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 2 TRIM HOOK (w/o Rear Cooler)
9. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT
10. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Cooler)
11. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH
12. REMOVE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
13. REMOVE REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT ECU WITH BRACKET

a. Disconnect the connectors.
b. Remove the 2 nuts and ECU with bracket.

14. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT ECU BRACKET

a. Remove the 2 bolts and bracket.

15. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT ECU BRACKET

a. Remove the 2 bolts and bracket.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 1 REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT ECU BRACKET

a. Set the bracket's aligning protrusions labeled A into the ECU holes.
b. Install the bracket with the 2 bolts labeled B.

2. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT ECU BRACKET

a. Set the bracket's aligning protrusions labeled A into the ECU holes.
b. Install the bracket with the 2 bolts labeled B.

3. INSTALL REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT ECU WITH BRACKET

a. Install the ECU with the 2 nuts.

HINT: Install the screws in the order shown in the illustration.

b. Connect the connectors.

4. INSTALL STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH
6. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Cooler)
7. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT
8. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 2 TRIM HOOK (w/o Rear Cooler)
9. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 1 LIGHT ASSEMBLY
10. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
11. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH
12. INSTALL ROPE HOOK
13. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY
14. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
16. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization. Testing and Inspection

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
