AIR CONDITIONING UNIT (for Rear Side)

REMOVAL

1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
2. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

4. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY




a. Detach the 3 claws and remove the cover.




b. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 tubes.
c. Remove the 2 O-rings from the tube.

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)
a. Remove the rear seat.

6. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman)
a. Remove the rear seat.

7. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Type)
a. Remove the rear seat.

8. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
a. for Short Body:
Remove the rear door scuff plate.

b. for Long Body:
Remove the rear door scuff plate.

9. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
a. for Short Body:
Remove the rear door scuff plate.

b. for Long Body:
Remove the rear door scuff plate.

10. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH
a. for Short Body:
Remove the rear seat side garnish.

b. for Long Body:
Remove the rear seat side garnish.

11. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH
a. for Short Body:
Remove the rear seat side garnish.

b. for Long Body:
Remove the rear seat side garnish.

12. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LH
a. for Short Body:
Remove the roof side garnish inner.

b. for Long Body:
Remove the roof side garnish inner.

13. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER RH
a. for Short Body:
Remove the roof side garnish inner.

b. for Long Body:
Remove the roof side garnish inner.

14. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
a. w/ Rear Sunshade:
Remove the package tray trim panel.

b. w/o Rear Sunshade:
Remove the package tray trim panel.

15. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Cooler)
a. Detach the 2 clips and remove the cover.

16. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
17. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY
18. REMOVE ROPE HOOK
19. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH
20. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH
21. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 1 LIGHT ASSEMBLY
22. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY FRONT
23. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
24. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH
25. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH
26. REMOVE ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT LH




a. Remove the clip.
b. Detach the 2 clips and remove the duct.

27. REMOVE ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT RH




a. Remove the clip.
b. Detach the 2 clips and remove the duct.

28. REMOVE NO. 4 AIR DUCT REAR




a. Detach the 4 claws and remove the duct.

29. REMOVE NO. 5 AIR DUCT REAR




a. Detach the 4 claws and remove the duct.

30. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER AIR DUCT




a. Detach the 2 claws and remove the duct.

31. REMOVE NO. 2 COOLER AIR DUCT




a. Detach the 3 claws and remove the duct.

32. REMOVE REAR COOLING UNIT ASSEMBLY




a. Disconnect the clamp and 2 connectors.
b. Remove the 4 bolts and rear cooling unit.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR COOLING UNIT ASSEMBLY




a. Install the cooling unit with the 4 bolts.
b. Connect the clamp and 2 connectors.

2. INSTALL NO. 2 COOLER AIR DUCT




a. Attach the 3 claws to install the duct.

3. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER AIR DUCT




a. Attach the 2 claws to install the duct.

4. INSTALL NO. 4 AIR DUCT REAR




a. Attach the 4 claws to install the duct.

5. INSTALL NO. 5 AIR DUCT REAR




a. Attach the 4 claws to install the duct.

6. INSTALL ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT LH




a. Attach the 2 claws to install the duct.
b. Install the clip.

7. INSTALL ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT RH




a. Attach the 2 claws to install the duct.
b. Install the clip.

8. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH
9. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH
10. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
11. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY FRONT
12. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 1 LIGHT ASSEMBLY
13. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH
14. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH
15. INSTALL ROPE HOOK
16. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY
17. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
18. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Cooler)
a. Attach the 2 clips to install the cover.

19. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
a. w/ Rear Sunshade:
Install the package tray trim panel.

b. w/o Rear Sunshade:
Install the package tray trim panel.

20. INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LH
a. for Short Body:
Install the roof side garnish inner.

b. for Long Body:
Install the roof side garnish inner.

21. INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER RH
a. for Short Body:
Install the roof side garnish inner.

b. for Long Body:
Install the roof side garnish inner.

22. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH
a. for Short Body:
Install the rear seat side garnish.

b. for Long Body:
Install the rear seat side garnish.

23. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH
a. for Short Body:
Install the rear seat side garnish.

b. for Long Body:
Install the rear seat side garnish.

24. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
a. for Short Body:
Install the rear door scuff plate.

b. for Long Body:
Install the rear door scuff plate.

25. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
a. for Short Body:
Install the rear door scuff plate.

b. for Long Body:
Install the rear door scuff plate.

26. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)
a. Install the rear seat assembly.

27. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman)
a. Install the rear seat assembly.

28. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Type)
a. Install the rear seat assembly.

29. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY




a. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surface of the tube.

Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

b. Install the 2 O-rings on the tube.
c. Install the 2 tubes with the 2 bolts

Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf)




d. Attach the 3 claws to install the cover.

30. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
31. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
32. ADD COMPRESSOR OIL
33. CHARGE REFRIGERANT
34. WARM UP ENGINE
35. CHECK FOR LEAKAGE OF REFRIGERANT
36. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
a. Check the SRS warning light.

37. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
