REMOVAL

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback spring, seat adjuster and seat cushion spring may injure your hands.

HINT: Before removing the rear seat, make sure to move the seat to the position that is 37 mm (1.46 in.) from the rearmost position.

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.





3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH
a. Detach the 2 front hooks of the seat cushion from the seat cushion adjuster.

NOTICE:
- If areas close to the insertion location of the rear seat cushion lock hooks (A) are not lifted straight up, the cushion frame may become deformed.
- When lifting the rear seat cushion assembly, lift it quickly so that force is applied directly to the hooks. Do not lift it slowly.





b. Remove the seat cushion.

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

c. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Disconnect the connector.

4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.





5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Detach the front hook of the seat cushion from the vehicle body.

NOTICE: The cushion frame deforms easily. To avoid deforming the seat cushion, place your hands near the hook, and then pull up on the seat cushion.

b. Remove the seat cushion.

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.





6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the bolt and disconnect the outer belt anchor.





b. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws to open the cap of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

c. Remove the seat belt from the belt guide.





d. Remove the bolt and pry out the junction block.
1. Disconnect the 3 connectors.





e. Disconnect the connectors and wire harness clamps.





f. Remove the 2 nuts from the lower part of the seatback, and disconnect the air duct from the vehicle.
g. Disconnect the seat adjuster and seatback, and lift the seatback upwards to remove it.

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

7. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

8. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Lower the center armrest.





b. Raise the headrest.





c. Detach the 2 clips. Then detach the hook by lowering the rear seat armrest hole board, and remove the board.





d. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and seatback center.
e. Connect the connector.

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.





9. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 bolts, nut and seat adjuster.

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

b. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Remove the air duct from the vehicle body.

10. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the No. 2 seat adjuster.





11. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the 4 nuts and seatback adjuster.

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

12. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback spring, seat adjuster and seat cushion spring may injure your hands.

HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.





1. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH
a. Install the seatback adjuster with the 4 nuts.

Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

2. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the RH side.





3. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
a. Install the seat adjuster with the 4 bolts and the nut.

Torque:
20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) for bolt A

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

b. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Install the air duct to the vehicle body.

4. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the No. 1 seat adjuster.





5. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the seatback center with the 2 bolts and nut.

Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.





c. Attach the hook to the wire. Then attach the 2 clips to install the rear seat armrest hole board.





d. While pressing the button, lower the headrest.
e. Raise the center armrest.





6. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH
a. Connect the seatback assembly to the seatback adjuster, and press down on the seatback assembly to install it to the seatback adjuster. Then connect the air duct to the vehicle.
b. Install the seatback assembly to the seat cushion adjuster with the 2 nuts.

Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.





c. Connect the connector and wire harness clamps.





d. Connect the 3 connectors.
e. Install the junction block with the bolt.





f. Connect the seat belt anchor and install the bolt.

Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)





g. Install the seat belt to the seat belt guide.
h. Attach the 2 claws.

7. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the RH side.





8. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Attach the hook and install the seat cushion.

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.





9. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH
a. Install the seat cushion.

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

b. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Connect the connector.

c. Attach the 2 front hooks of the seat cushion to the seat cushion adjuster.

10. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
12. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

14. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
a. Check the SRS warning light.

15. INSPECT REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY
a. Check the power seat operation.
b. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Check the climate control seat system.
