REMOVAL
CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback spring, seat adjuster and seat cushion spring may injure your hands.
HINT:
- for Power Seat:
Before removing the rear seat, make sure to move the seat to the position that is 37 mm (1.46 in.) from the rearmost position.
- for Ottoman:
Before removing the rear seat, make sure to move the seat to the position that is 17 mm (0.67 in.) from the rearmost position.
1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH
a. Detach the 2 front hooks of the seat cushion from the vehicle body.
NOTICE:
- If areas close to the insertion location of the rear seat cushion lock hooks (A) are not lifted straight up, the cushion frame may become deformed.
- When lifting the rear seat cushion assembly, lift it quickly so that force is applied directly to the hooks. Do not lift it slowly.
b. Remove the seat cushion.
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
c. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Disconnect the connector.
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH
a. Operate the ottoman switch to move the ottoman return position.
b. Remove the 2 clips and 2 nuts.
c. Remove the seat cushion ottoman part.
d. Lift the rear seat cushion assembly RH corners to disconnect the rear seat cushion lock hooks.
NOTICE:
- If areas close to the insertion location of the rear seat cushion lock hooks (cushion assembly corners) are not lifted straight up, the cushion frame may become deformed.
- When lifting the rear seat cushion assembly, lift it quickly so that force is applied directly to the hooks. Do not lift it slowly.
e. Remove the seat cushion.
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
f. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Disconnect the connector.
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH
a. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
b. Remove the wire harness clamps and disconnect the connector.
c. Remove the 3 bolts and rear seat cushion airbag.
5. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the bolt and disconnect the outer belt anchor.
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws to open the cap of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
c. Remove the seat belt from the belt guide.
d. Remove the bolt and pry out the junction block.
e. Disconnect the 3 connectors.
f. Disconnect the connectors and wire harness clamps.
g. Remove the 2 nuts from the lower part of the seatback, and disconnect the air duct from the vehicle.
h. Disconnect the seat adjuster and seatback, and lift the seatback upwards to remove it.
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
6. REMOVE REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX
7. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH
a. Remove the bolt and disconnect the outer belt anchor.
b. Using a screwdriver detach the 2 claws to open the cap of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
c. Remove the seat belt from the belt guide.
d. Remove the bolt and pry out the junction block.
e. Disconnect the 4 connectors.
f. Disconnect the connectors and wire harness clamps.
g. Disconnect the rear air hose.
h. Remove the 2 nuts from the lower part of the seatback, and disconnect the air duct from the vehicle.
i. Disconnect the seat adjuster and seatback, and lift the seatback upwards to remove it.
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
8. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 bolts, nut and seat adjuster.
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
b. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Disconnect the air duct from the vehicle body.
9. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 bolts, nut and seat adjuster.
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
b. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Disconnect the air duct from the vehicle body.
10. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the 4 nuts and seatback adjuster.
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
11. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH
a. Disconnect the 2 connectors.
b. Remove the 4 nuts and seatback adjuster.
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
INSTALLATION

HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
1. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH
a. Install the seatback adjuster with the 4 nuts.
Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
b. Connect the 2 connectors.
2. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the seatback adjuster with the 4 nuts.
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
3. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
a. Install the seat adjuster with the 4 bolts and nut.
Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) for bolt A
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
b. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Connect the air duct to the vehicle body.
4. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH
a. Install the rear seat cushion airbag.
b. Install the wire harness clamp and connect the connector.
c. Install the 3 bolts.
Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
5. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
a. Install the seat adjuster with the 4 bolts and nut.
Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) for bolt A
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
b. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Connect the air duct to the vehicle body.
6. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH
a. Connect the seatback assembly to the seatback adjuster, and press down on the seatback assembly to install it to the seatback adjuster. Then connect the air duct to the vehicle.
b. Install the seatback assembly to the seat cushion adjuster with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
c. Connect the rear air hose.
d. Connect the connectors and wire harness clamps.
e. Connect the seat belt anchor and install the bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
f. Connect the 4 connectors.
g. Install the junction block with the bolt.
h. Install the seat belt to the seat belt guide.
i. Attach the 2 claws.
7. INSTALL REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX
8. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH
a. Connect the seatback assembly to the seatback adjuster, and press down on the seatback assembly to install it to the seatback adjuster. Then connect the air duct to the vehicle.
b. Install the seatback assembly to the seat cushion adjuster with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
c. Connect the connectors and wire harness clamps.
d. Connect the 3 connectors.
e. Install the junction block with the bolt.
f. Connect the seat belt anchor and install the bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
g. Install the seat belt to the seat belt guide.
h. Attach the 2 claws.
9. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH
a. Install the seat cushion.
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
b. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Connect the connector.
c. Attach the 2 front hooks of the seat cushion to the seat cushion adjuster.
d. Install the seat cushion ottoman part with the 2 nuts.
e. Install the 2 clips.
10. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the seat cushion.
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
b. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Connect the connector.
c. Attach the 2 front hooks of the seat cushion to the seat cushion adjuster.
11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
12. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.
NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
14. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
a. Check the SRS warning light.
15. INSPECT REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY
a. Check the power seat operation.
b. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Check the climate control seat system.
