REMOVAL
CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat adjuster and seat cushion frame may injure your hands.
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedure listed below are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
2. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the foremost position.
b. Pull the seat belt anchor cover cap in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to remove it.
c. Remove the bolt and outer belt anchor.
d. for Front Passenger Side:
Disconnect the connector.
3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 seat track covers.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the 2 bolts.
c. Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the rearmost position.
d. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 seat track covers.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
e. Remove the 2 bolts.
f. Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the center position.
g. Disconnect the cable from the battery negative (-) terminal.
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
h. Disconnect the 4 connectors under the seat.
NOTICE: Make sure the center pillar does not contact the power seat switch knob.
i. Remove the front seat assembly.
NOTICE:
- Make sure the center pillar does not contact the power seat switch knob.
- Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback spring, seat adjuster and seat cushion spring may injure your hands.
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedure listed below are for the LH side.
1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the front seat assembly.
NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
- Make sure the center pillar does not contact the power seat switch knob.
b. Connect the connectors under the seat.
NOTICE: Make sure the center pillar does not contact the power seat switch knob.
c. Connect the cable to the battery negative terminal.
d. Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the rearmost position.
e. Install the 2 bolts.
Torque: 37 N.m (377 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
f. Attach the 4 claws and install the 2 seat track covers.
g. Operate the power seat switch to move the seat to the foremost position.
h. Install the 2 bolts.
Torque: 37 N.m (377 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
i. Attach the 4 claws and install the 2 seat track covers.
2. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the outer belt anchor with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
b. for Front Passenger Side:
Connect the connector.
c. Insert the seat belt anchor cover cap in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to install it.
3. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.
NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
5. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
a. Check the SRS warning light.
6. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
a. Check the power seat operation.
b. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Check the climate control seat system.
