Introduction
Customers may complain that the trunk is stuck closed and will not open when using the remote or interior switch. The trunk can continue to be opened using the key or interior safety pull. A new luggage room Junction Block has been developed to correct this condition. Use the following repair procedure to replace the luggage room Junction Block.
Applicable Vehicles
^ 2007 model year LS 460 vehicles NOT equipped with the power closer trunk and produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown below.

This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
Repair Procedure
1. Record radio presets.
2. Gain access to the trunk by using the mechanical key. Turn the mechanical key clockwise to open.
NOTE:
For vehicles equipped with the Lexus Navigation System, ensure that the vehicle has been OFF for at least 2 minutes BEFORE disconnecting the battery.
3. Disconnect the battery.
4. Remove the LH luggage room trim panel.
5. Replace the luggage room Junction Block.
6. Install the LH luggage room trim panel.
7. Reconnect the battery.
8. Test for proper operation of the rear trunk.
9. Re-initialize any affected power Systems.
Refer to TSIB No. PD007-07, Power System Initialization During PDS".
10. Reset radio presets.
