Removal and Replacement

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH
5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
7. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH
9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

10. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH





a. Remove the 3 screws and extension pad.

11. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

12. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH





a. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 clips.
b. Partially remove the fender liner.

HINT: It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the bumper assembly can be removed later.

13. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER





a. Put protective tape around the front bumper.
b. Remove the 8 screws.





c. Detach the clip and remove the bumper seal bracket.

HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.





d. Detach the 6 claws and disconnect the front bumper as shown in the illustration.

HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

e. Disconnect the 2 fog light connectors and remove the front bumper.
f. w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System:
Disconnect the No. 4 engine room main wire connector and remove the front bumper.

15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER





a. Remove the energy absorber.

16. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT





a. Disconnect the cooler thermistor connector.
b. w/ Air Suspension:
Remove the height control cleaner from the reinforcement.

c. w/ Headlight Cleaner System:
Detach the headlight cleaner hose clamps.

d. Remove the 6 bolts and reinforcement.

17. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ABSORBER LOWER





a. Remove the absorber lower.

18. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER LOWER





a. Remove the 3 clips.
b. Remove the 4 bolts and suspension crossmember lower.

19. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER





a. Remove the 2 clips and radiator support opening cover.

20. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH





a. Remove the screw.
b. Detach the claws and remove the retainer.

21. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

22. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT LH





a. Remove the 2 screws and bumper bar reinforcement.

23. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT LH





a. Install the bumper bar reinforcement with the 2 screws.

2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH





a. Attach the claws to install the retainer.
b. Install the screw.

4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

5. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER





a. Install the radiator support opening cover with the 2 clips.

6. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER LOWER





a. Install the suspension crossmember lower with the 4 bolts and 3 clips.

Torque: 25 N.m (255 kgf.cm, 18 ft.lbf)

7. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ABSORBER LOWER





a. Install the absorber lower.

8. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT





a. Install the reinforcement with the 6 bolts.

Torque: 29 N.m (296 kgf.cm, 21 ft.lbf)

b. Connect the cooler thermistor connector.
c. w/ Air Suspension:
Install the height control cleaner to the reinforcement.

d. w/ Headlight Cleaner System:
Attach the headlight cleaner hose clamps.

9. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER





a. Install the energy absorber.

10. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER
a. Connect the 2 fog light connectors and install the front bumper.
b. w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System:
Connect the No. 4 engine room main wire connector and install the front bumper.





c. Attach the 6 claws to the connect the front bumper, as shown in the illustration.

HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.





d. Install the bumper seal bracket and attach the clip.

HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.





e. Install the 8 screws.

11. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH





a. Install the 2 clips so that their grooves are vertical.

12. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

13. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH





a. Install the extension pad with the 3 screws.

14. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

15. INSTALL FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH
16. INSTALL FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH

HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

17. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY
18. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
19. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
20. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
21. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH
22. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
23. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
24. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

25. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
a. Check the SRS warning light.
