REAR DOOR SPEAKER (for Standard Body)

REMOVAL

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH
3. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)
6. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY




a. Disconnect the speaker connector.
b. Remove the 2 screws.
c. Detach the clip and remove the speaker.

NOTE: Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.

7. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 19 Speakers)




a. Disconnect the speaker connector.
b. Remove the 3 screws.

NOTE: Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.

8. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 19 Speakers)




a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Detach the clamp, and remove the 2 screws and speaker.

NOTE: Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.

INSTALLATION

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. INSTALL REAR NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 19 Speakers)




a. Align the speaker to the door position pins A.
b. Install the speaker with the 2 screws.

NOTE: Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.

c. Attach the clamp and connect the connector.

2. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 19 Speakers)




a. Temporarily install the speaker by attaching the claw of the speaker to the door panel.
b. Install the speaker with the 3 screws.

NOTE: Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.

HINT: Install the screws in the order shown in the illustration.

c. Connect the connector.

3. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY




a. Install the speaker and attach the clip.
b. Install the 2 screws.

NOTE: Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.

c. Connect the connector.

4. INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)
5. INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
6. INSTALL REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY
7. INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH
8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
9. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
