NAVIGATION ECU (for DVD)

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH
3. REMOVE NO.2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING
4. REMOVE NO.2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER
6. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY




8. REMOVE NAVIGATION ECU WITH DISC PLAYER BRACKET
a. Remove the 3 bolts and ECU.
b. Disconnect the ECU connectors.




9. REMOVE NO.2 DISC PLAYER BRACKET
a. Remove the 2 screws and bracket.




10. REMOVE NO.1 DISC PLAYER BRACKET
a. Remove the 2 screws and bracket.

INSTALLATION

HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.




1. INSTALL NO.2 DISC PLAYER BRACKET
a. Install the bracket's aligning protrusions labeled A to the ECU.
b. Install the 2 screws labeled B.




2. INSTALL NO.1 DISC PLAYER BRACKET
a. Install the bracket's aligning protrusions labeled A to the ECU.
b. Install the 2 screws labeled B.




3. INSTALL NAVIGATION ECU WITH DISC PLAYER BRACKET
a. Connect the ECU connectors.
b. Install the ECU with bracket with the 3 bolts.

4. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
6. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER
7. INSTALL NO.2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
8. INSTALL NO.2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING
9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH
10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization. Testing and Inspection

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

12. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
a. Check the SRS warning light.
