Navigation Antenna:
NAVIGATION ANTENNA
REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the instrument panel safety pad.
3. REMOVE NO.2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT
4. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE NO.3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
6. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (for DVD)
a. Detach the 4 clamps.
b. Remove the 2 screws and antenna.
7. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (for HDD)
a. Detach the 2 clamps.
b. Remove the 2 screws and antenna.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (for HDD)
a. Attach the 2 clamps.
b. Install the antenna with the 2 screws.
2. INSTALL NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (for DVD)
a. Attach the 4 clamps.
b. Install the antenna with the 2 screws.
3. INSTALL NO.3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
4. INSTALL DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL NO.2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT
6. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Install the instrument panel safety pad.
7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
8. INSPECT STEERING PAD
9. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization. Testing and Inspection
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
10. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
a. Check the SRS warning light.
