DTC P1366 "E" Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit Open, Low, High Bank1DTC P1367 "E" Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit Open, Low, High Bank2
DESCRIPTION
DTC Detection Condition:
The electric VVT changes the valve timing according to the motor. In comparison to a conventional hydraulic VVT, the valve timing range is greater and the VVT operates even when the engine rpm is low or the engine is cold. As a result, it is possible to increase engine output and mileage.
The camshaft control timing motor is equipped with a self diagnostic function, which is used to output diagnosis signals (VTM) to the ECM.
MONITOR DESCRIPTION
Monitor Strategy:
Typical Enabling Conditions:
Typical Malfunction Thresholds:
This DTC is output when a diagnostic signal malfunction is detected in the intake side camshaft timing control motor. The camshaft timing control motor is equipped with a self diagnostic function, which is used to output the condition of the camshaft timing control motor as a diagnosis signal (VTM) to the ECM. If the ECM receives a diagnosis signal that is not one of the set signals, a DTC is output immediately (1 trip detection logic).
If the engine is idled for 10 seconds, a DTC is detected.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: Read freeze frame data using the intelligent tester or Techstream. Freeze frame data records the engine condition when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air-fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
