INTRODUCTION:

This service bulletin provides information on the proper manual transmission oil to use in the RA62 (6--speed) manual transmission.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2006 model year IS 250 vehicles equipped with the RA62 manual transmission.






PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION:

RA62 (6--speed) Manual Transmission Oil Type Requirements

For IS 250 vehicles that have the RA62 (6--speed) manual transmission with VINs produced AFTER the Production Change Effective VIN shown above, use ONLY manual transmission gear oil meeting API GL--5 designation.

CAUTION:
Using manual transmission gear oil other than API GL--5 may cause occurrence of gear noise and damage to the transmission.






For vehicles that have the RA62 (6--speed) manual transmission produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN and have had the manual transmission replaced with a supply part, ONLY use API GL--5.
