Clutch Fluid Accumulator: Service and Repair

CLUTCH ACCUMULATOR

Components:





REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CLUTCH LINE





a) Remove the bolt and separate the clutch line clamp.
b) Using SST, disconnect the clutch line.

HINT: Use a container to catch the fluid.

2. REMOVE CLUTCH TUBE





a) Using SST, disconnect the clutch line.
SST 09023-00101

HINT: Use a container to catch the fluid.

b) Remove the clip and disconnect the clutch tube.

HINT: Use a container to catch the fluid.





c) Using SST, remove the clutch tube.
SST 09023-12701

HINT: Use a container to catch the fluid.

3. REMOVE CLUTCH ACCUMULATOR ASSEMBLY





a) Remove the 2 bolts and clutch accumulator.

INSTALLATION
1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN CLUTCH ACCUMULATOR ASSEMBLY





a) Temporarily tighten the clutch accumulator with the 2 bolts.

2. CONNECT CLUTCH TUBE





a) Using SST, connect the clutch tube.
SST 09023-12701

Torque: When using SST 21 Nm (216 kgf-cm, 16 ft. lbs.)
When not using SST 23 Nm (235 kgf-cm, 17 ft. lbs.)

HINT: Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 345 mm (13.58 inch).





b) Connect the clutch tube to the bracket with a new clip.
c) Using SST, connect the clutch tube.

Torque: 15 Nm (153 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.)

HINT: Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 inch).

3. CONNECT CLUTCH LINE





a) Using SST, connect the clutch line.
Torque: 15 Nm (153 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.)

HINT: Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 inch).

b) Temporarily tighten the clutch line with the bolt.

4. FULLY TIGHTEN CLUTCH ACCUMULATOR ASSEMBLY





a) Fully tighten the clutch accumulator with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 12 Nm (120 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.)

5. BLEED CLUTCH LINE
a) Fill the brake reservoir with the brake fluid and bleed the clutch system.
Torque: 11 Nm (112 kgf-cm, 8 ft. lbs.)

6. CHECK FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE
a) Check for leakage in the clutch system.

7. CHECK FOR BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR
