Ride Height Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. REMOVE FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUBASSEMBLY (for 2WD)
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the nut.
c. Remove the 2 bolts and front height control sensor sub-assembly.
2. REMOVE FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUBASSEMBLY (for 4WD)
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the bolt.
c. Remove the 2 bolts and front height control sensor sub-assembly.
3. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUBASSEMBLY
a. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the connector.
b. Put matchmarks on the rear height control sensor link and bracket.
c. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and rear height control sensor sub-assembly.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUBASSEMBLY
a. When replacing the rear height control sensor subassembly:
1. Align matchmarks and also the trace of the nut, and install the rear height control sensor subassembly and bracket.
b. When reusing the rear height control sensor subassembly:
1. Align matchmarks on the rear height control sensor sub-assembly and bracket.
c. Install the rear height control sensor sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and nut.
Torque: Bolt 14 N.m (143 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf) Nut 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
d. Install the clamp.
e. Connect the connector.
2. REMOVE FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUBASSEMBLY (for 4WD)
a. Install the 2 bolts.
Torque: 14 N.m (143 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)
b. Install the front height control sensor sub-assembly with the bolt.
Torque:5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
c. Connect the connector.
3. INSTALL FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUBASSEMBLY (for 2WD)
a. Install the 2 bolts.
Torque:14 N.m (143 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)
b. Install the front height control sensor sub-assembly with the nut.
Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
c. Connect the connector.
